Getting to Know Amy Flowers

The Flowers and Clients

Sunshine, some water and a little TLC are all it takes to transform a seed into a thriving, blooming flower. Funny enough, these are many of the same things that Amy Flowers thrives on herself. Get this enthusiastic and professional person talking about travel and watch her eyes light up. The prospect of leaving behind the cold climate for the warmth of the sun and sea is all it takes to get this ‘flowers’ blossoming.

Nurturing Relationships

Traveling to tropical locales is one of the many things this adventure seeker thrives on. She is extremely social and loves to meet new people no matter what she’s doing.  While Amy loves planning and throwing dinner parties for friends, she also enjoys a relaxing walk in the neighbourhood with her dog, Fezzik. Her career has flourished and her relationships have grown from her constant interaction with people, and even with local kids through the monthly coloring contest she sponsors as part of her business outreach.

Planting the Seeds

Native of Ontario, Amy grew up with the idea that her dreams could grow into something great with enough care, attention and dedication. After completing her commerce degree, Amy continued her retail career but never stopped thinking about the various ways she could grow professionally.

Michelle Merritt

An athletic dog owner, Michelle Merritt spends her spare time walking her Shih-Poo pup Bella around her home town of Milton. She and Bella particularly enjoy exploring the serene Hilton Falls conservation area – part of the Niagara escarpment – the same hiking trails she's been walking since she was a little girl. It's what makes Milton so unique for Michelle whose favourite part of the area is a small waterfall where she says she feels so far away from everything and totally relaxed. So it's no surprise that if she could be anywhere, Michelle would choose sitting at a cottage looking the lake over a tropical vacation or city break.

Another way this hard-working sales rep unwinds is with hot yoga, a pursuit she's recently picked up and loves. When not working or working out, Michelle and her friends enjoy checking out new restaurants for a nice meal and a glass of wine. Her  cuisine of choice is sushi but she certainly won't turn down a good backyard barbeque.

A huge fan of HGTV and everything to do with interior design, architecture and of course, real estate, Michelle comes by her career of choice honestly. She is a valuable member of the Amy Flowers team and will be a great help in your home search.

Neil has been a trusted sales professional for 13 years, working for a number of Fortune 100 companies in the I.T. and Staffing industries.  He also has extensive hands-on expertise in the area of home improvement.  This knowledge will be a great asset to home buyers looking to upgrade their new purchase or making cost effective suggestions to improve the home they are selling.

Rachel Fenner

A new mother to one-year-old daughter Ella, Rachel Fenner has an admirable life philosophy: "Life is short. Do what makes you happy before it's over." She never turns down an opportunity to try something new, even if it scares her. On her honeymoon to Aruba with her highschool sweetheart, Rachel conquered her fear of scuba diving and describes the week, as the most adventurous and relaxing of her life so far. "I don't want to look back in 40 years and say 'I wish I had...'" she says.

And as an integral member of Amy Flowers' team, Rachel plays a part in helping clients make important life decisions. She has always loved browsing real estate sites and jumped at the opportunity to work with her sister-in-law Amy. When she's not working, you'll find the Burlington resident in the park with her husband and daughter, and when the couple can find a babysitter, they're out at concerts or filling the stands at baseball games.
